Origin Story is a creative studio — a business that gives us the freedom to use our gifts and creativity in a variety of ways. 

We each bring a multitude of talents to the table. We’re eager to use those talents for the benefit of our communities.

We hope to become your creative partners and your first stop with any creative project that’s beyond your capacity or confidence.

Origin Story was born from two inspirations.

First, a desire to spend our working time doing what we love. Using our creative brains to solve complex challenges and design compelling collateral light us up. Seeing our friends, family, neighbors, and colleagues win lights us up even more.

We’re creating a way of life that leans into our talents for the benefit of our community.

Our second inspiration was a desire to truly embody our values in how we work. As Black people, the legacies we carry are shadowed and glorious. Where there is pain, there is also resilience and triumph.

Our ancestors worked and suffered so we could have a better life. While the cost was great and the victory not yet complete, they succeeded. It’s imperative that our approach to work embodies their wildest dreams.

Origin Story was created in honor of our ancestors and their creativity, passion, and labor.

Our approach is a living rejection of grind culture. In practice, this means we’re a partner that shares and lessens the load you carry everyday.

In our time together, we’ll become the future we want to see for the generations that follow.

One day, it will be our legacies that propel them forward.
